Application: All NP205 transfer cases and LoMax 205
This kit provides the preferred combination for hard core 205 transfer cases. The components in the kit will eliminate the slip yoke found on GM NP205's.
The stock rear output shaft on the NP205 is know for strength. However, for extreme use such as sled pulls or mud drags, the New Process output shaft is often recognized as the weak link and failures do occur. The breaking point on the stock New Process output shaft is almost always located at the three oil grooves. The three oil grooves create a smaller cross section of steel like no other location on the shaft.
The new shaft from JB CONVERSIONS, INC. has improved the output shaft for the NP205 by providing improved oil grooves. The actual oil holes are larger than the stock however the oil slots are shorter than stock. These 3 new oil grooves do not create such a large loss of cross sectional area as found on the stock shaft. The result is a much stronger output shaft.
